Welcome to Sunny Days Melanoma Cancer Awareness. We hope this website proves to be a concise and informative forum, through which Irish people, both adults and children alike, can explore and learn some more about Melanoma, a cancer that is unfortunately growing rapidly in our country ... Thankfully however, Melanoma is a cancer we can help prevent happening in our lives and in our children lives, through taking on new better sun protection habits.
We hope our Sunny Days website inspires many Irish people to reflect on their own sun protection habits, and reflect on their understanding of Malignant Melanoma as being a very serious form of skin cancer, not just one that you can 'cut out and all will be ok'.
We hope to help open your mind to the importance of sun protection, especially for our children, and especially now.
... Sunny Days' vision for the future is of an Irish Society that is fully aware of how dangerous and aggressive Melanoma Cancer is.
... We hope for a future society that is fully educated and aware of the dangers of the sun's UV rays, to our skin and to our long-term health. These rays most often being the cause of Malignant Melanoma.
...We hope to see an Irish society that considers sun protection seriously and responsibly;
EVEN WHEN IN IRELAND
EVEN WHEN THERE'S CLOUD
and all the way through the months of
APRIL, MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER!
We know we have a challenge on our hands, but right here is where we start!
